Totally Simple. Vegan.
About me.
I live a simple life. I am a mother to three awesome kids. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force. I am pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Network Operations and Security. I am a runner. I am spiritual. And I am vegan.
I have three of the brightest, silliest, most wonderful kids that I could ever ask for. They are without a doubt the most important part of my life. I want to encourage my little adventurers to live creatively and to grow up accepting who they are, as they are. I want to teach them to find happiness not only within themselves, but with the world around them. I want to guide them to find what they’re most passionate about in life. As you read through these pages of mine, you’ll quickly learn more about them and the wonderful little people they are. ❤
You’ll learn a bit more about myself as well. I was active duty in the United States Air Force. I worked as a Network Administrator. I absolutely loved my job and the people that I was lucky enough to work with.
While I was in the USAF, I learned so much about networking. As an enlisted member, I managed to obtain my AS degree in Information Technology, I earned my CCNA in Routing & Switching and Security+ certificate. Now that I’m no longer with the Air Force, I’m working towards my Bachelor’s while working full-time as a Network Engineer. I love what I do.
I also love running. For me, running is the best form of stress relief. I just let my thoughts flow. Recently, I have completed 3 5 half marathons. I LOVE THEM! I used to run a max of 4 miles, but now I find myself running farther and farther: 6 miles, 9 miles, 12 miles, etc. I didn’t think it was possible, but after my first 12 mile run, I was addicted. I run often and am integrating running into my lifestyle.
Another interesting thing about myself (depending on what your view is on “interesting”) is that I’m pretty spiritual. I believe that we are all connected or “in tune” with one another. Have you ever felt like you had a second sense? I have on too many occasions for it to be merely a coincidence. I also believe in Karma. What goes around always finds its way back around. You attract what you put out into the world. So let out the good!
This is one reason why I’m so pro-vegan. To me, eating a living being is wrong. Most people won’t agree (or will agree, but will find excuses to keep doing it? I know, it doesn’t make sense to me either). Eating animal products is not only unhealthy, to me it’s unethical. I’ve been vegan since the beginning of 2014 and love the lifestyle that I have created for myself and for my family. I want to encourage others to go vegan too. It will make an indescribable difference to your life in the best way imaginable. I also want to encourage people to become more involved with their community, a lesson I can learn for myself.
I’ll do my best to make a positive difference, even if only to one person. Collectively, we can change the world. Stay Simple. Totally Simple. Vegan. 😉
